For example a size 23 carbon prosthetic foot will not measure solely 23cm in length. It will measure 23cm when it is used with correct shell. In other words the rubber shell will always be longer than the actually carbon foot. The foot size = carbon foot length + correct rubber footshell length No functional issues with the item.
