But brakes are a little tight.Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2023The folding seat back is great and what makes this fit in the trunk. The brakes are „ok“ but not great. If you want to lock the brakes you need to push the lever down. The first couple times you will need to use a little bit of force but then after that it is fine. I like the larger rear wheel on this model as it mades it easier to maneuver etc. Since the front wheels are smaller, it doesn’t do well with raised do thresholds that you find in commercial buildings. Also, you can swing the foot rests to the side, but there is no clip to keep them locked in that position. Regardless, I can’t imagine not having this chair. After trying many different chairs I thought this one had the best balance of pros and cons. It was a challenge to push over rough ground, but the chair held up and I would highly recommend it. ugnaut5.0 out of 5 stars Great ChairReviewed in the United States on May 27, 2023This is a trial and error chair.I bought a wheel chair a couple years ago when my mom broke her hip, it was actually less than this chair but weighed 42 pounds, it also was great except for the weight.In the time since I had tried my transport chair borrowed from my Aunt similar design with smaller wheels. I liked the light weight but it had some problems with thresholds.This chair with the large rear wheels makes a huge difference, so much easier to wheel around and clears things the other chairs don’t do or are bumpy as heck at.. It gives you the best of all worlds. It is light, folds up easy. The back folds down as well so you can get into almost any spot even if you leave the foot rests on. No problem pushing it around. It still has the hand brakes if you have transfer someone to the chair and need to keep them steady. I would say if someone is sitting in it for a long time, a cushion might help because these are really meant to transport someone not to be sitting in it all day. I took my shopping for a couple hours in the mall and it was fine but she weighs 115 pds, I imagine someone heavier might be more uncomfortable.I recommend this chair highly.
